I am following tweets this week from the national math conference (NCTM) taking place in Boston. Today they are having a mini-teachers conference called Shadow Con . Each is suggesting a 'call to action' for math educators to try. Here is one that I thought might be interesting for us to consider: Breaking the Cycle which includes discussion about these words, Collection of words mathematicians use, and using them in our planning and lesson delivery.
